QUALITY

Quality and experience.

What forty years taught us: quality does not show on the first piece. It shows on the hundredth.

Protocol gift cases that have passed quality inspection

Two separate inspections

After the craftsman responsible for production, every piece passes a second craftsman. The second pair of eyes catches what the first has stopped seeing through familiarity.

  • Corner wrinkling
  • Seam spacing regularity
  • Lining adhesion quality
  • Lid alignment and closure
  • Logo definition and centring
  • Hinge and lock tightness

The sampling process

We do not start series production without sample approval. Approval given without handling the sample — without seeing the leather tone, the logo scale and the lid action — causes problems later.

The sample charge is deducted from the total when the order goes ahead.

Reproducibility

This is the critical issue for chain operators and clients who reorder regularly. Every project’s die measurements, leather batch number, lining code and logo die are kept in the client file.

A repeat order years later runs from the same file. If the leather batch is exhausted we tell you upfront and discuss the risk of tone variation before the order is placed.

Repairs

We repair what we have made, years after the fact. Hinge replacement, relining and corner repair are the most frequent requests.
