GUIDE
Corporate gift ideas
A good corporate gift does three things: it stays visible in the recipient’s daily life, it carries the logo discreetly enough not to become promotional material, and its quality reflects how the organisation sees itself. The right approach is to tier the budget by recipient group rather than by headcount.
Separate the recipient first, then the budget
The most common mistake is buying everyone the same gift. Employees, dealers and senior protocol have different expectations; the same gift is excessive for one and inadequate for another.
- Employee — used daily, practical, personalisable
- Dealer and partner — visible in the office, with representational value
- Senior protocol — presentable, where the case is part of the gift
Ten corporate gift ideas
The list below is drawn from the types we produce most; all of them take a logo.
- Leather gift box with a small set inside — the most flexible option
- Desk pad set — strong as an executive or appointment gift
- Leather portfolio or signature folder — visible every day in the office
- Leather diary — the year-opening classic
- Card holder — the best quality impression at a modest budget
- Award and plaque box — for ceremonies and recognition
- Certificate box — for charters and diplomas
- Branded leather bag — for events and launches
- Bottle presentation case — for year-end and celebrations
- Personalised name embossed box — for retirements and anniversaries
Where should the logo go, and how large?
A large logo centred on the lid turns a gift into promotional material and lowers how often it is kept. A placement in the corner of the lid, or on the inside face, noticed on second glance, leaves a more lasting impression.
The technique changes with how dark the leather is: gold foil on dark leather, hot deboss on lighter matte leather.
When should the order be placed?
October for year-end gifts. November and December are the busiest months in every workshop; an order placed then compresses sample approval and production into the same calendar and leaves no room for revision.
